Obituary: Theodore F. Bardwell, for many years a prominent farmer of this vicinity, died in the Bloss-burg hospital Saturday morning following a brief illness. He was taken ill of pneumonia while visiting in Addison, N.Y. and recovery from this was followed complications of heart trouble He was taken to the hospital Thursday in the hope that something could be done for him, but owing to his advanced age, it was impossible. He was born in Bradford county August 28, 1843, and had lived in Western Bradford and eastern Tioga counties all his life. A very few years ago he moved to a farm between Troy and Cowley. which was his home until his death. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Cowley. He is survived by his widow who was Mrs Barbara Kratzer, of Mansfield and a son, George E. Bardwell of Columbia Cross Roads. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Methodist church, the Rev. F.P. Simmons offi-ciating and interment in Prospect cemetery. Theodore F. Bardwell, well known Granville Summit man passed away in the Blossburg State hospital on Saturday morning, March 28th, at eight o'clock. He was eighty-one years old and death Arc caused by heart trouble. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Barbara Bardwell; a son , George, of Austinville ,and several step-sons and step-daughters. The funeral was held on Monday from the Mansfield Methodist church, the Rev. Mr. Simmons officiating and burial was in a Mansfield Cem.
