Buried out of the area BEACH - Harry R. Beach, 70, of 117 W. Union St., Endicott, NY, died at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Monday, Feb. 13, 1978. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mabel Williams Beach of Endicott; 2 daughters, Mrs. Frances Truax of Vestel, NY and The Rev. Mrs. Janet D. Shannon of Virginia Beach, Va.; several grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen Walker of Brackney, PA; 2 brothers, Dr. Robert Beach of Indianapolis, Ind., and Dr. Fred Beach, Chevy Chase, Md. Harry Beach was the son of Colie and Frances Beach of Mansfield and spent all of his early years here. He graduated from Mansfield High School and Mansfield State College and also was a graduate of Bliss Electric School of Washington, D.C. He was a member of and elder of the Union Presbyterian Church of Endicott and a former trustee of that church. For over 40 years he owned and operated the Beach Bike Shop. He was a member of the Lions Club and Union Business Men's Association. Funeral service was held at the Union Presbyterian Church. Burial in Endicott at the convenience of the family. - Wellsboro Gazette, March 1, 1978 |
