Mollie was so sick with cancer that she was unable to attend either the calling hours at the funeral home or the funeral. Many of the visitors went to her house to see her. FRANK W. BEARDSLEE Frank W. Beardslee, 75, of East Troy, PA, died Friday, May 20, 1994, at the Troy Community Hospital. He was born Jan 23, 1919, in Elk Run, PA, the son of Henry and Carolyn McConnell Beardslee. He was a former member of the Elk Run United Methodist Church and was currently a member of the East Troy Methodist Church. He sold automobiles from 1954 to 1981 with Rose Chevrolet in Mansfield and Hall Motor Co. in Troy. He was a member of the East Sullivan Grange. Frank and his wife, Mollie Beardsley, were antiques enthusiasts for over 20 years. Frank enjoyed bowling and was active in the sport from 1959 to 1992. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mollie E. Beardslee; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Jeannine Beardslee of Campbell, NY, and Dennis and Judy Beardslee of Troy; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Richard Gee of Lawrenceville, PA, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Brian A. Gee, in 1988, and his sisters Betty McAdoo, in 1977, and Shirley Smith, in 1991. Friends called at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral was held Monday at 11 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Raffensperger officiating. Burial was at the Glenwood Cemetery, Troy. Memorials may be sent to the Lou Gehrig's Disease Foundation. (TGR, Thursday, May 26, 1994)n |
