BIXBY, Robert (SRGP 79284) - Robert E. Bixby, Sr., 69, of 3885 Sanderosa Road, Fayetteville, NC, formerly of Mansfield, died early Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1986, in Highsmith Rainey Hospital, Fayetteville. Born Jan. 18, 1917, in Elmira, NY, he was a son of Franklin W. and Ruby Mae Swan Bixby. Mr. Bixby was a carpenter and had been a bus driver for the Mansfield schools for more than 20 years. He also had operated B & B Radiator Shop in Mansfield for five years. Mr. Bixby was a member of the Church of Christ, Disciples, Canoe Camp. He is survived by his wife, Bethmein [Betty] Weidner; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Rose of Fayetteville, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Tom Smith of Concord, NC, Betty Jean and Wilford Washer, Jr., of Wellsville, NY; brother, Clifford W. Bixby of Mansfield, and seven grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev.
