BRACE - (SRGP 2120)_ Mrs. Ella Mae Brace Smith, age 71, of 27 Fischler Street, Wellsboro, Pa. Died Thursday, June 11, 1970 at the Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport. Funeral was at the Shaw and Robena Funeral Home on Monday, Rev. R. Blair Moffett officiated. Burial was in the State Road Cemetery, Mainesburg. Survived by husband, Dr. J. Edward Smith, Wellsboro; sons, David T. Smith, Cooperstown, N.Y., James E. Smith, Newburg, N.Y.; daughter, Mrs. Robert E. (Rebecca) Keenan, Nowich, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; brothers Glenn T. Brace, Boyd Brace, Gordon Brace, all of Mainesburg, Sterling Brace, Wellsboro, Harold Brace, Tioga; sisters, Mrs. Edward E. (Edith) Smith, Big Flats, N.Y. Mrs. Eson (Ruth) Wetmore, Wellsboro, Pa., Mrs. Harold (DeEtte) Cole, Sayre, Pa., Mrs. Ernest (Frances) Vosburg, Mansfield, Mrs. Eloise Foster, Big Flats, N.Y., Mrs. Herman (Winifred) Tears, Columbia Cross Roads. Mrs. Smith, the daughter of Harry and Lucy Tanner Brace, was born near Mansfield, Pa. She graduated from the Mansfield Schools and Mansfield State College and taught for several years. She has been a member of the National Retired Teacher’s Association. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Wellsboro and was very active in the mission work of the church.
