HOWARD H. BURKE (SRGP 87584) Howard H. Burke, 84, of 199 North Main Street, Mansfield, died Thursday, Nov. 19 at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. Born Dec. 12, 1902, in Goodheu Hill, Addison, NY, he was the son of John and Gwendolen Morton Burke. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, he was the custodian for 17 years. He was also a member of the Mansfield Coffee Club and the Board of Directors of the Prospect Cemetery Association. From 1945 to 1967, he was the owner and operator of Burke's Food Market in Mansfield. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Catherine Burke; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Cathy) Nowlen of Jenkinsville, SC and Mrs. Dawn Rosato of Jersey Shore; one granddaughter; four grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield Sunday, Nov. 22. The Rev. James T. Dawes officiated. Burial was made in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield. The family provided flowers. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements were made by the Scureman Funeral Home. BURKE, Howard H. (SRGP 87584) - HOWARD H.
