HUGH W. CADY (SRGP 75229) Hugh W. Cady, 81, of 7 1/2 North Main St., Mansfield, died Monday, Oct. 26, 1992, at home. Born Feb. 2, 1911, in Jobs Corners, he was the son of William R. and Maude Baity Cady. He was a member of the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce. He owned and operated Cady's Mens Stores in Westfield and Mansfield from 1953 until retiring in 1976. Preceding him in death was his wife of 54 years, Martha Budnick Cady, on Sept. 20, 1986, and grandson, Alan Cady, on Aug. 22, 1978. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip D. and Shirley Cady of Lemont and John and Diane Cady of Mansfield; two daughters, Marilyn Kemp of Mount Pleasant Gap and Alice Kelly of Mount Dora, Fla.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Magor of Oakmont; several nieces and nephews; special friends and care-givers, Richard and Susan Roe of Mansfield. Friends may call at the Scureman Funeral Home, 130 S. Main St., Mansfield, on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 7 pm to 9 pm. Services will be held there on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 11 am with the Rev. Ira Hindman officiating. Burial will be made in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield. Flowers would be appreciated or memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to Mansfield University Foundation Adult Basic Education Program. |
