RALPH STANLEY CHAMBERLAIN, JR., 63, formerly of Mill Hall and Roseville, Pa., passed away Sunday afternoon May 31, 1998, at the home of his sister in Roseville. Ralph was born in Sayre on Nov. 29, 1934. He was a son of the late Ralph S. Chamberlain Sr. and the late Marguerite Smith Borg Gallow. Stanley, as he was commonly referred to by the family and friends, graduated from Mansfield High, class of 1953. He was employed by Mansfield University in the maintenance department for several years until 1982 when he accepted a position with Truck Stops of America. Stanley retired in November 1996. Mr. Chamberlain was of the Methodist faith and was a former member of the Elk Run United Methodist Church. Stanley enjoyed the simple things, in life. He especially liked going for walks, country music and spending time with the family. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Sr. and Barbara Wright of Tunkhannock, Pa., D. Rex and Janice Chamberlain of Mansfield and Janice Chamberlain of Mansfield RR 2; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bob Alexander of Roseville; a special niece, Sandra Bagley of Canton; several half-siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1998, at the Pepper funeral Home, Springbrook Drive, Canton. The funeral and committal service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jasper Smith, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Interment will be held in the North Union Cemetery, Union Twp. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be directed to the North Union Cemetery association, RR 1, Box 194, Roaring Branch, Pa. in Mr. Chamberlain's memory. -Towanda Daily Review.
