CLEVELAND - George W. Cleveland [SRGP 84856], 81, of Mansfield died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro. Born Oct. 14, 1917, in Mansfield, he was the son of Harold and Hazel Clemens Cleveland. He was a retired building contractor and a local businessman. He was a member of the Lambs Creek Bible Church. An avid sportsman, he was a life member, director and co-founder of the Lambs Creek Sportsman's Club. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mae Warters Cleveland; one son, Gary Cleveland of Mansfield; two daughters, Bonnie Loveland of Wellsboro and Julie Besanceney of Mansfield; four sisters, Betty Evans of Mansfield, Sally Austin of Horseheads, NY, Janice Husted of Deland, Fla, and Connie Heller of Big Flats, NY; an aunt and uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Clifford Cleveland of Smethport; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Wilston Funeral Home, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield, on Thursday, April 22, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held there Friday, April 23, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Floyd Barackman officiating. Burial will be made at Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield.
