COOK Rexford O. Age 91, of Westfield, PA, died Friday, January 25, 2002 at Drake's Personal Care Home, Galeton, PA. He was born May 6, 1910 in Roseville, PA, the son of Otis & Lettie Seely Cook. On June 3, 1972 he married Christine Clark Lewis in Cumberland, MD. He graduated from Mansfield High School. He was in the clothing business for many years in Westfield, PA and he assisted his wife at Cook's Variety Store in Westfield, PA. He belonged to Westfield Lodge #477 F. & A.M. & the Coudersport Consistory for over 50 years. He was a member of the Westfield United Methodist Church, the Westfield Historical Society & the Dads of the Knoxville V.F.W #6753. Survived by his wife of 29 years, Christine C. Cook; sons, Fred (Donna) Cook of Aiken, SC and Greg Cook of Ellington, SC; step-daughters, Bonnie (Gerald) Pierce of Wellsboro, PA, Karen (Frank) Shutter of Honeoye, NY and Debbie Losey of Knoxville, PA; step-son, Robert (Lynne) Lewis of Elkland, PA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Cook of Troy, PA; 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Arland & Sheffield Cook & sisters, Irma Crumm & Evelyn Guardino. A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Westfield United Methodist Church. Rev. DR. James F. Bellamy, OSL, officiating. Burial in Champlin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Westfield United Methodist Church. |
