CRANMER - Malcolm L. Cranmer, 75, of 55 Morris Ave., Mansfield died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, April 27, 1984 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Born March 13, 1909 in Mansfield, he was a son of Thomas and Lena Bull Cranmer. Mr. Cranmer was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had also been employed as a custodian and had served as a former church trustee. Mr. Cranmer was an employee at Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post for 32 years, and retired in 1974. He also worked as a landscape architect for Thompson Nurseries in Mansfield. He was active in the local Boy Scout organizations and was the holder of the Silver Beaver award and was secretary-treasurer of the Prospect Cemetery Association at Mansfield. He had been a member of the Mansfield Hose Co. since 1946 and served as the company’s secretary-treasurer for nearly 30 years. His wife, the former Mary Beach, died last year. Surviving are: one son, Byron E. Cranmer of Painted Post, NY; two grandchildren; brother, Darwin Cranmer of Blossburg and several nieces and nephews. Friends were invited to call at the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 30, 1984. The funeral was held at the First Baptist Church, Mansfield on Tuesday, May 1, 1984 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Benjamin E. Nevin his pastor, officiating.
