Mary Lou Creeley Age 87 passed away Thur. May 16, 2019 while in the loving care of her family, Born on Aug. 3, 1931 in Mansfield, PA; daughter of the late, Leroy & Velma Fish Creeley. She was a devoted wife to Robert D. Dieterle for 43 years until his passing in 1994. Having raised a large family, Mary was a dedicated homemaker and mother to her children; Jean (Clifford) Jessup, Elmira; Deborah Dieterle, Southport; Robert (Linda) Dieterle, Horseheads; Nancy (John) Buzzetti, Southport; Susan (Fiancé, James Cook) Holmes, Rochester, NY; Cindy (James) McCann, Elmira; 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Dianna) Jessup, Joseph (Katie) Dieterle, Katie (Jeffrey) Vieselmeyer, Christopher (Haley) Wood, Gregory Wood, Amber Holmes & Bill, Matthew (Katie) Holmes, Elizabeth (Bill) Butterfield, Michael (Brittany) McCann; 19 great grandchildren, Mykaila, Alex, Tyler, Ian, Carson, Delaney, Molly, Kameron, Ben, Lewis, Sylvia, William, William, Madyson, Austin, Anthony, Connor, Owen, and Harper; sister, Patty Kendrick, Mansfiled; brother-in-law, Gene Fessler; sister-in-law, cherished friend and brother-in-law, Doris (Francis) Bock; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Virginia and Leona; and brother-in-law, Loren Kendrick. Mary was a devoted and faithful member of Bethany Lutheran and enjoyed crocheting blankets for loved ones. Mary was also employed for many years at Founder’s Pavilion, Corning, NY as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. Family and friends will be received at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport/Elmira on Tues. May 21, 2019 between the hours of 12 (noon) – 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 :15 p.m. with graveside services in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. |
