Edna CUMMINGS Locey SRGP 48357 b. 9 June 1919; d. 23 Nov. 2005 [last benefit Fruitland Park, Lake County, Fla.] SSN 179-30-2082 [PA 1954-1956] Mansfield Advertiser, PA, 27 December 1939, Wednesday, p.1 Cummings – Locey Miss Edna Mae Cummings, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Roy F. Cummings of Mansfield, and Frederick V. Locey, son of Mr. & Mrs. Edward Locey, also of Mansfield, were married at 11 a.m. Christmas Day at the home of the bride. The ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Everett W. Burden, pastor of the Covington Church of Christ. The guests were the bridegroom’s parents, Mrs. & Mrs. Edward Locey, Mr. & Mrs. Roy F. Cummings and family, and Mrs. Everett W. Burden and daughter, Ruth Ann. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home. The bride was dressed in medium blue alpaca crepe. Her dress for traveling was a wine-colored three piece suit. Mr. Locey is a graduate of the Mansfield State Teachers College, class of 1935, and is now manager of the Elmira Street Garage in Mansfield. Mrs. Locey is also a graduate of the Mansfield State Teachers College, class of 1939, and is teaching at Roaring Branch. They both are members of the Covington Church of Christ. Immediately after the dinner the couple left for a trip to Virginia, Washington, DC, and other points of interest. On their return they will reside in Mansfield. |
