Helen Naomi Douglas Tears – b. 10 January 1908, Covington, PA; d. July 1981, Blossburg, PA; Burial – Gray Cemetery, Covington, PA DOUGLAS, Helen Naomi [SRGP 88132] – Helen D. Tears, age 73 of 107 Main St., Blossburg, June 8, 1981 at her home. Friends are invited to call at the Kuhl Funeral Home, Mansfield, Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. Funeral there Friday 3 p.m. Rev. Archie Cruikshank officiating. Burial in Gray Cemetery, Covington. She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Robert [Elizabeth] Stauffer of Harrisburg, PA; one nephew, William A. Kutz of Milford, Delaware. She was a graduate of the Arnot Ogden School of Nursing, Elmira; served in World War II as a nurse with the U.S. Coast Guard in Galveston, TX and W. Palm Beach, FL She was a retired nurse from Blossburg State Hospital; member of American Legion Post No. 572, Blossburg. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
