FRENCH, Edith Christien [SRGP 94691] - Mrs. Everett Q. Waterman the former Edith Christien French, 57, Head Librarian at Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland, died of cancer Sunday, June 26th in Prince George's General Hospital. She lived at 11800 Old Gunpowder Road, Beltsville, Maryland. Mrs. Waterman was born in Middlebury Center, PA and was a graduate of Mansfield State Teachers College and George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tenn. She held the B.S. in Education, B.S. in Library Science and the M.A. in Library Science degrees. She taught in the public schools of Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland before joining the staff of Montgomery College in 1956. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Boneta Sue and Annette, two sisters, Mary French Kemble of Annapolis, Maryland and Harriet French Camenga of Riverside, California, two nephews,Bruce and Dix Camenga, and three nieces. Services were at the S.H. Hines Co. Funeral Home in Washington, D.C. with burial in Culpeper[VA] National Cemetery.
