GARRISON, Yolande [SRGP 42527] - The funeral of Mrs. Yolande Garrison Cornwell, who died May 1 [1932] in Williamsport, following the birth of a daughter, was held Wednesday at the home of Postmaster E.G. Cornwell, in Mansfield, Rev. David J. Griffiths, pastor of the Mansfield Baptist church, officiating; burial in Prospect cemetery at Mansfield. Mrs. Cornwell was born in Jobs Corners. She removed to Mansfield with her family and was graduated from the Mansfield High School and Mansfield State Normal School, regraduated from the latter institution in 1924. she taught for one year at Halstead, Pa., and for two years at Troy, Pa. She was married June 30, 1927, to Kenneth Cornwell, a teacher in the Industrial Department of the Williamsport High School. Mrs. Cornwell was a member of the Lutheran church of Williamsport. She is survived by her husband and infant daughter, of Williamsport; her mother, Mrs. Ada Garrison, of Mansfield; one sister, Mrs. Bryan Husted, of Mansfield, and three brothers, Cecil and Merle, of Mansfield, and Shirley, of Jobs Corners. - Wellsboro Agitator, May 11, 1932 |
