Gould, Blanche G. Gustin, age 91, of RR 3, Troy, PA died Saturday, December 6, 1997 at the Troy Community Hospital. She was born September 29, 1906 in Roseville, PA, the daughter of George and Bertha (Brace) Gould. Blanche was a member of the West Burlington United Methodist Church. She was a school teacher with the Troy Area School District for 19 years, having taught both in the West Burlington and Granville schools, Blanche was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association. John and Blanche Gustin were superintendent and matron of the Bradford County Manor for 20 years. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Troy Eastern Star. Blanche was a member of the Union Grange for over 50 years and was also a member of the Burlington Rebekahs for over 50 years. She was the manager of the Mountain Lake Resort for many years. Blanche is survived by daughters, Betty Moyer of Mountain Lake, PA and Ruth Howell of Bartlesville, OK; son, John Gustin Jr. at home; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, John V. Gustin, on February 17, 1997; sister, Lorrinda (Gould) Dunbar; brothers, Wells Gould and Alfred Gould. Funeral services were held at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy on December 9 with the Rev. Mark Bower and the Rev. Donald Raffensperger officiating and burial to be in Bradford County Memorial Park in Luthers Mills, PA. Pallbearers were to be Burton Parks, Max Simcoe, Stub Crane, Richard Welch, Claude Carman and Don Cleckner.
