Hager, of Erie, PA, son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Hager, in a pretty ceremony performed June 26 in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Waterford. The ceremony was performed by the pastor, the Rev. David O. May. The maid of honor was Miss Audrey Davis and the groom was attended by his brother, Neal Hager. The bride’s gown was white lace and net with a white net picture hat and she carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses. The maid of honor was dressed in pink and carried Talisman roses. Following the wedding a reception for members of the immediate families and the bridal party was held at the home of the bride. Mrs. Hager was graduated from the Waterford Vocational School in 1934. She is organist at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Waterford. Mr. Hager is a graduate of the Mansfield Senior High School and the Mansfield State Teachers College and is employed by the Dailey Chevrolet Company in Erie as service manager. She worked for many years at local grocery stores in Waterford, retiring in 1989 from Heard's Drug Store. She was a lifetime member of and served as organist for the Order of the Eastern Star, the former Fort LeBoeuf Lodge No. 487. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Waterford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Hager, whom she married June 26, 1937, and who died March 20, 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Connie Wilmire and her husband, Merle, of Waterford; a brother, Ed May of Wattsburg; three granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. [no source] |
