Grinnell, age 97, passed away May 2, 2018 after living a long and full life. Born in Aug. 16, 1920 in Rutland, PA. Doris was the daughter of the late, Stanley & Ascha Garrison Hamilton. She married Shirley S. Grinnell on May 10, 1940 and cherished 69 years together until his passing on April 12, 2009. She retired as an office manager from North Penn Telephone Co. after 45 years of dedicated service. In early years she was a switch board operator. A social person she enjoyed playing cards, travel, reading, time spent with her friends at the Southport Senior Center; and was a long-time member of the Pennsylvania Ave. United Methodist Church. Surviving is her loving family; children, Dennis [Rita] Grinnell, Wellsburg, NY; Mary Stormer, Tilson, NY; 4 grandchildren, Gary [Melissa] Grinnell, Amy [Christopher Rose] Aken, Benjamin [Sanja] Stormer; 5 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Olivia, Ella, Parker, and Emma; brother, Marshall [Cindy] Hamilton; sister-in-law, Anne Hamilton; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was predeceased by a sister, Phyllis Hamilton; brothers, Willys [Barbara] Hamilton, Mason Hamilton; and sister-in-law, Nancy Hamilton.
