Hess, son of Mr. & Mrs. Laren R. Hess, Blossburg, PA. The marriage took place in the rectory of the Immaculate Conception Church, Clarion, PA July 2, 1949 with Rev. Alfred J. Fischer, officiating at the single ring ceremony. The bride wore a colonial gown fashioned with a hoop skirt, tight bodice and wife bertha collar, and wore a colonial Holland lace hat with streamers. The bride’s sister, Miss Shirley Clark, maid of honor, wore a light green gown corresponding to the bride’s. The bouquets were colonial with white roses, yellow asters and blue delphinium and for the bridesmaid a mixture of lavender and white gladioli. The best man was George Faycklund. Mr. & Mrs. Hess are making their home in Mansfield after touring through Canada.
