HINKLIE - Walter G. Hinklie, 66 of Wellsboro Road, Mansfield, died Thursday, Jan 9, 1986, in Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. Born Jan 26, 1919, at Nicholson, Lackawanna County, he was a son of Morris and Genevieve Williams Hinklie. He was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ, Disciples. Mr. Hinklie retired in 1979 from Taynton Trucking co., Wellsboro, where he had been director of security for 15 years. He was past master and trustee of Friendship Lodge 247, F&AM. His only immediate survivor is his wife, the former Betty Sherman. The funeral was held Sunday, January 12 at the Scureman Funeral Home, 130 South Main Street, Mansfield. Burial was in Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Charleston Twp. The Rev. Rudolph J. Vander Heil, assistant pastor of St. James Episcopal Church, officiated.
