Jerald, 84, of Prince Frederick, MD, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000. Born May 17, 1915, in Mansfield, he was the son of Charles T. and Ethel G. Shaw Jerald. He graduated from the Mansfield High School and the Mansfield State Teachers College, class of 1938. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After war service, he was an insurance salesman and adjustor for the Farmers GLF Company in Tunkhannock. He and his wife retired in Florida. Preceding him in death was his wife, Thelma Roach Jerald, in November 1997. Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey of Williamsport, Jack, with whom he made his home, and Jason; one daughter, Jennifer; three sisters, Louise J. Bush of Delaware, Lorena J. Penno of Harrisburg and Fidelia J. Weeks of Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. - Wellsboro Gazette, 23 February 2000, p.6 |
