Born Nov. 8, 1915, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Alfred and Nellie Wilson Landon. She was a homemaker for may years and a retiree of Mansfield University in 1978 after 10 years of service. Preceding her in death were her first husband, William Lyle Phillips, July 29, 1938 and her second husband, Keith R. Ayers on Dec. 2, 1991; three brothers, Francis, Howard and William Landon and two sisters, Velma Russell and Vera Landon. Surviving are one daughter, Tessie A. Ayers of South Williamsport; three sons, Lyle E. Phillips of Blossburg, Charles A. Ayers of South Williamsport and K. Robert Ayers of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, many friends. Calling hours were held Tuesday, July 2, at the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield.
