MARSH, Jack H. [SRGP 65459] Jack H. Marsh, 70, of 184 North Academy St. Mansfield, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1982, in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, where he had been a patient for two weeks. Born in Stroudsburg on Dec. 6, 1911, he was the son of Norman and Edna Puterbaugh Marsh. He graduated from Mansfield State College with a BS degree and graduated from Columbia University, NYC, with a MA degree. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Marsh was a member of the Mansfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He also was a member of Friendship Lodge 247, F&AM, Mansfield. He retired as the golf professional at the Corey Creek Golf Club, Mansfield, in 1977. Surviving besides his mother of Mansfield is his wife, the former Ruth Hughes. A private funeral was held today, at the Kuhl Funeral Home, Mansfield. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery. The Rev. Linda Leibhart, pastor of St. James Episcopal Church officiated. Date of Military Service: 18 June 1942 - 1 May 1946 |
