MARVIN, Kimble George [SRGP 95466] - Kimble G. Marvin, 83, of 48 Sherwood Street, Mansfield, died Sunday, October 8, 1978, at his home following an extended illness. Surviving are his wife, Adeline Dartt Marvin, of the Green Home, Wellsboro; two daughter, Mrs. Laura Hitchcock of Piedmont, California and Mrs. William [Elizabeth] Keill of Manlius, NY, and 5 grandchildren. He was born December 24, 1895, at Liberty. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Mansfield. He was a graduate and retired professor and coach at Mansfield State College where he had been a star athlete. He was also a graduate of Lafayette University. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of Austin-Cox Post 478 American Legion and of Veterans of World War I of U.S.A. Inc., Kellenbach-Mead Barracks #163 of Williamsport. He was a member of Blossburg Lodge F&AM 350, the Mansfield Kiwanis Club and was for many years in charge of children crossing guards for the AAA and made many safety talks in schools. He was a director of the American Automobile Club for many years. Mr. Marvin was an ardent hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Black Wolf Rod and Gun Club where his ashes will be scattered after cremation. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 11, in St. James Episcopal Church with Rev. David Smith, officiating.
