MIDDAUGH, Hiram B. [SRGP 68389] - Mr. H.B. Middaugh, for many years a resident of this boro died of Valvular affection of the heart at Medical Lake, Washington, on Nov. 1st, aged 60 years. He leaves a wife, who is a daughter of J.B. Clark, Sr., of Richmond, and three grown children. During his residence in Mansfield Mr. Middaugh had charge of the erection of a large number of depots and other buildings along the line of the Fall Brook Railway. He superintended the erection of the ladies building at the Normal school. The Medical Lake Ledger says "the name of H.B. Middaugh had become familiar throughout the United States through his connection with the manufacture of Medical Lake Salts." - Mansfield Advertiser, PA, 13 November 1889, Wednesday, p.3 April 1874 - Middaugh The work on the new Normal building is progressing finely. The carpenter work is under the personal supervision of H.B. Middaugh, of this place, who is a thorough workman, and unremitting in his labors. We commend him to all who contemplate erecting buildings this season as one upon whom they may rely. It is expected that the Normal will be ready for the fall term. June 1875 - Middaugh A letter has been received from H.B. Middaugh who states that they have safely arrived at Salem, Oregon. He is highly pleased with the country. Cherries are ripe there. Send us a couple. 1877 - Middaugh Married Allen-Middaugh - In Salem, Oregon, Dec. 14, 1876, by Rev. L.J. Powell, Principal of the Albany Collegiate Institute, assisted by Rev. E.P. Towner of the M.E.
