MUDGE, Cole J. [SRGP 02578] Cole J. Mudge,92, of Mansfield died Tuesday, April 14,1998, at the Care Home in Mainesburg. Born Aug. 4, 1905, in Mansfield, he was the son of Orris and Dorcas Munro Mudge. He was a retired owner of the Mudge Oil Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield and a charter member of the Mansfield Lions Club. Preceding him in death was his wife, Ruth, on Sept. 23, 1997. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Leach Pellot of Mansfield and Nancy Pieri of Painted Post, NY; six grandchildren, Michael, Thomas and Jeffery Pieri and Susan Burt, Matthew and Nancy Leach; and four great-grandchildren. Calling hours were held Friday, April 17, at the Wilston Funeral Home of Mansfield. Funeral services were held there Friday April 17, with the Rev. Joyce Treas officiating. Burial was made in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield. Family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 67 E. Wellsboro St., Mansfield, Pa 16933. |
