Army, Air Force Served 26 Oct 1942 - 25 Dec 1945 Served Overseas 4 Aug 1944 - 11 Nov 1945 Buried in Florida National Cemetery SUMMERFIELD — Retired Lt. Col. Dale Morris Palmer, 87, died Saturday, April 21, 2012. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and completed 31 years of military life. He was a member of Lady Lake United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Helen S. Palmer, Summerfield; son, Dale M. Palmer II, Lake Jackson, Texas; daughter, Penny Perna, Denver, NC; brother, Gordon R. Palmer, Dade City; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Inurnment with full military honors will be held at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
