RARRICK, Deyo C. - Deyo c. Rarrick, 69, of 819 Grand Central Ave., Horseheads, NY, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1993. Born March 5, 1924, in Elmira, NY, he was the son of Leo and Lena Allen Rarrick. He was a veteran of World War II, serving his country with the US Army. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Horseheads, the Clarence R. Oliver American Legion Post #154, the Horseheads Old Oak Masonic Lodge #364, the Cashemere Grotto and a Corning Consistory. He was an avid golfer and member of the Mark Twain Golf Course and Dewbirds, and has had two hole-in-ones. He was a retired employee of Purolator in Elmira Heights, NY. Surviving are his wife, Dora Decker Rarrick; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Joseph Hartman of Elmira, NY, and Barbara and Robert Koernig of Roaring Branch; one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Marcia Rarrick of Stevensville, Mich.; seven grandchildren, including his grandson, Albert Comfort who resided with his grandparents; one brother, Donald Rarrick of Pine City, NY; several brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends called at the VanBuskirk Lynch Funeral Home, Horseheads, NY, on Monday, Dec. 20, where the American Legion Post #154, the Horseheads Old Oak Masonic Lodge #364 and the Cashemere Grotto all held memorial services. Services were held there Tuesday, Dec. 21, with the Rev. E. Gene Callihan officiating. Burial was made at Maple Grove Cemetery, where full military honors were accorded.
