RASMUSSEN - Gunnar Rasmussen, 95, [SRGP 52838] of 138 Spencer Rd., Mansfield, died Friday, April 16, 1993, at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. Born March 8, 1908, in Sindal, Denmark, to Adolph and Karen Larsen Rasmussen. He was a member of Friendship Lodge F&AM #247, Mansfield, and the Williamsport Consistory. He was the former owner of Rasmussen Nurseries, Mansfield, currently owned by his son, Joseph. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary Knowlton Rasmussen; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jack and Betty Rasmussen of Corning, NY, and Joseph Rasmussen and friend, Cindy Mitchell, of Mansfield; one daughter, Linda Rasmussen of Lebanon; two brothers, Holger of Denmark and William of Denmark and Edgewater, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dana and Arne Aarup of Denmark and Lisbeth and Knud Gustofsen of Denver, Colo.; special cousins, Arne and Kirsten Rasmussen of Ohio; five grandchildren. There were no calling hours. Private services were held Monday, April 19, at the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield, with the Rev. Ira Hindman officiating. Burial was made at Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield.
