Wellsboro Agitator, PA, 8 June 1932, Wednesday, p.1 Grinnell-Reynolds The marriage was announced last Thursday of Miss Lorena F. Reynolds, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Reynolds, of Wellsboro RD 6, and Frank Grinnell, of Antrim, at Ovid, NY, May 25. 1932, by Rev. Mr. Page, pastor of the Presbyterian church. The bride has been proprietor of the Marsay Beauty Shop. After June 6 she will be associated with Mrs. Dolly Derrah in the "Green Orchid Beauty Shoppe," in the same location, in Smart & Tota’s barber shop. [SRGP 4594] -Lorena Grinnell, 95, formerly of RR6, Wellsboro, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 at the Green Home, Wellsboro, where she was a guest for the last two years. Born March 13, 1909 in Mainesburg, she was the daughter of Fred and Winifred Reynolds of Wellsboro. She was a graduate of Mansfield High School, the Class of 1926. Early in life she was a hairdresser; then she was a cook for the Wellsboro School District; and owned her own bakery and delicatessen in Wellsboro. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank N. Grinnell in 2003, a brother, James Reynolds; and a sister, Mildred Smith. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma (Henry) Gee, Nancy (Harry) Cobb, both of Wellsboro; six grandchildren, Debra Brown, David Gee, Freeman Covert, Jr., Robin Palmer, Frank L. Grinnell, Chris Grinnell; 19 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. There were no calling hours. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at the Whitneyville Cemetery, Charleston Township, with Pastor Eugene A. Charsky officiating. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
