Rose + Ione McEntee ROSE, Leone Jane [SRGP 21719] – Dr. Leone Rose Roselle, a musician, scholar. linguist, and teacher, died on Monday, December 21, 1998, at the Kateri Rehabilitation Residence in Manhattan. Dr. Roselle performed professionally on piano and organ. She held several degrees from Columbia University, including two PhD’s. She spoke French, Spanish, Italian, Babylonian, Rumanian, and Japanese. She taught Latin and Greek in the Mamaroneck School District for many years. Her students remember her as dynamic and erudite. Among Dr. Roselle’s accomplishments are a book on language, "Secrets of Word Power", and a Latin version of Dr. Seuss’s "Oh, the Places You’ll Go", called "O, Loca tu ibis!" Dr. Roselle was a member of Marble Collegiate Church were a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 1999.
