RUMSEY –ELIZABETH L. SEELYE, (SRGP 06263) 81, Canton, PA, diedon March 9, 2005, at Broad Acres Nursing Home. Born on February 2, 1924 in Wheeling, W.VA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Iva (Moore) Rumsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herman A. Seelye. Elizabeth was a member of the Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) Canton. Prior to her retirement, she was co-owner of Seelye’s Electrical Company. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Suzanne Seelye, Canton, Gray Seelye and his wife, Mary, Brownsville, PA, Carl Seelye and wife Ann, York, PA; six grandchildren, Craig Seelye and wife, Kara, York, PA; Jill Seelye, Belcamp, MD; Joel Seelye, Pittsburgh, PA; Nathan, Joshua and Bethany Seelye, Brownsville, PA; sisters, Lois Peters, Dallas, TX; and Bonnie Longley, Park Forest, IL; brothers, Jerald Rumsey and wife, Deanna, Mansfield, PA; Richard Rumsey and wife, Alma, Anderson, SC; and James Rumsey and wife, Elsie, Canton; sister-in-law, Ann Rumsey, Perry, NY; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service was held at the Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Canton with rev. David B. Morris officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield.
