Mansfield Advertiser, PA, 10 April 1901, Wednesday, p.3 New Jewelry Store This Week Will See An Addition to Mansfield’s Many Successful Business Places By the Opening of a New Jewelry Store. Mr. Edward Saks, for a number of years one of Canton’s popular merchants, has leased the Robert E. Olney property on Sullivan street, and will conduct a store well-stocked with a new line of up-to-date sterling and silver plated ware, and a large line of optical goods. Mr. Saks comes to Mansfield well recommended as a first-class watchmaker and jeweler and expert optician. He will at all times carry a complete outfit of optical goods, and his guarantee goes with his sales. Besides having a large variety of tools pertaining to his business, he has acquired the use of those owned by the late Mr. Olney, considered by experts the best collection in northern Pennsylvania, thus enabling him to do the most intricate piece of repairing connected with the watchmaker’s trade. When fully fitted and arranged Mr. Saks will preside over the most modern store of the kind in this end of the state. For both work and goods sold he intends to make his prices such that once a patron always a patron, a motto he finds most satisfactory to himself and his customers.
