Ann Seeley = 08630 Williamsport Sun-Gazette, PA, 18 June 1952, Wednesday, p.4 Ann Seeley Becomes Bride In Recent Home Ceremony Mansfield – Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Ann A. Seeley, daughter of Mrs. Emma C. Seeley, Philadelphia, and the late Warren W. Seeley, to Robert Lee Paris. The bride a graduate of Mansfield High School and Mansfield State Teachers College in 1952, pledged wedding vows recently at the home of her two uncles, Lewis and William Canfield at Columbia Cross Roads. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Verne Paris, Rathbone, NY. Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Rev. Foss Whetstone, Daggett. Traditional wedding music was presented by Mrs. Alice Burnham, aunt of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Richard W. Seeley, of Philadelphia. She wore a gown of Chantilly lace with bandeau of white satin fastened with baby orchids, stephanotis, daisies and baby’s breath. The bride chose as her bridesmaid Miss Almeria Brennen, of Lawrenceville. She wore a gown of blue nylon with lace collar and headdress and wore a corsage of orchids and stephanotis. Mr. Paris selected his cousin, Edmund Owens, of Covington, as best man. For her daughter’s wedding Mrs. Seeley wore aqua print nylon and a gardenia corsage. Mrs. Paris, mother of the bridegroom, wore white print with a gardenia corsage. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held for approximately thirty-five guests. The couple left on a trip through the New England States. For traveling the bride wore a beige suit with red accessories and a corsage of orchids. The couple will live in Corning, NY. Mrs. Paris will teach at Wellsville, NY , this fall. Mr. Paris is an alumnus of Corning Northside High School and is a veteran of World War II. At present he is employed in the Ingersoll-Rand Plant, Painted Post, NY. SEELEY, Ann [SRGP 08630] – Ann S. Paris, 86, of Coopers Plains, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at home. She was born May 2, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Warren and Emma [Canfield] Seeley. Ann retired in 1985 as a teacher from the Corning-Painted Post School district after 25 years. She like to travel. She especially loved teaching and being with children. She was faithful to her Church and Coopers Plains Long Acres Volunteer Fire Dept. Her family was most important to her. Ann is survived by her daughter, Betsy [Peter] Cordes of Coopers Plains; sons, Byron [Carol] Paris of Coopers Plains and Richard [Alberta] Paris of Grand Coulee, WA; grandchildren, Robert [Jodi] Cordes, Amy Cordes, Lee [Amber] Paris, and great-granddaughters, Madison and Isabelle Cordes; her sister-in-laws, Mildred Miles, Marion Paris, Nancy Burdick and Sandy Paris all of Corning; special friend, Karry Shaw. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert Paris and grandson, Vern Paris. The family will receive family and friends at the Acly-Stover Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 p.m. Committal prayers and interment will be held a t 10 a.m., Monday, October 2, 2017 at Coopers Plains Cemetery.
