SHAW - Earl W., age 92, of Mansfield, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1976 at the Geisinger Medical Center. Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist church of Mansfield Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul R. O'Brien officiating, Burial in Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield. He is survived by wife, Daisy Brace Shaw; 8 sons, Daryl of Silver Springs, Md., Robert of Mansfield, Richard of Dallas, Tex., Earl Jr. of Damascus, Md., Leland of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Bryon of Painted Post, Harold of Mansfield RD1, Gayle of Elmira Heights; 5 daughters, Mrs. Merle (Loree) Coates of Osceola, Mrs. Homet (Roberta) Vaughn of Danville, Mrs. Rutsor(?) (Virginia) Erway of Wellsboro, Mrs. Alice Scott of Big Flats, NY, Mrs. Donald (Marlyn) Lee of Bolivar, NY; one brother, Wade Shaw of Mansfield; 46 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, a 64-year member of the IOOF of Mansfield and a member of Elizabeth Rebecca Lodge No. 291 and a retired 39-year employee of the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the Mansfield Hose Company, a graduate of the Mansfield Normal School (now Mansfield State College) and a former preacher.
