After completing a common school course, he settled down to work upon his father’s farm, and has since devoted his attention to agricultural pursuits. He makes a specialty of dairying, and is one of the most successful and substantial citizens of the township. In politics, he is an active worker in the Republican party, but refuses to accept or hold office of any kind. He is a member of Mainesburg Lodge, No. 754, I.O.O.F.; also of Mainesburg Grange, No. 84, P. of H., and is one of the enterprising farmers of his native township. (1897 History) |
