SOUDERS, Daniel Sheridan, Dr. [SRGP 98292] Mansfield people will be saddened to learn of the sudden death at his home in Bradford of Dan S. Souders, former jeweler and optician in Mansfield. The Bradford Era had the following notice: Dr. Daniel Sheridan Souders, 60, well known optometrist of this city died unexpectedly this morning [January 17, 1946] at 12 oclock at his home, 17 Chestnut St. Death was believed caused by a heart attack. Dr. Souders came to Bradford 20 years ago from Clearfield. Well known in this city where he had many friends he was a prominent member of the Knights of Columbus and had taken an active part in the activities of the local council. He also was a member of St. Bernards Church, Rotary Club and Elks Club. His death came as a shock to his many friends here as well as his professional associates. He had built an excellent practice since coming to this city. He leaves his wife, Ethel; one son, Daniel Souders, Jr.; four daughters, Mrs. Alene Johnson of Jamestown, NY; Mrs. Francis J. Conley, of Buffalo; Miss Anna Jane Souders of Washington, DC, and Patricia Souders at home. The body was removed to the Still Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
