STAUFFER, BYRON A., 76, (SRGP 12073) of Mansfield died Saturday, Jan, 17, 1998, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. Born, Jan. 22, 1921, in Mainesburg, he was the son of Gordon and Gladys Brainard Stauffer. He was a retired PennDOT worker after many years of service as a heavy equipment operator and driver. He was a member of Mainesburg United Methodist Church. He loved to collect die cast cars and work crossword puzzles. Surviving are beloved friend, Alberta J. Belknap; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Sandy Stauffer of Washington, Pa., stepchildren, Randy and Shirley Hilfiger, Gene Belknap, Bill and Connie Marble, all of Mansfield, and Charles Belknap of Osceola; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece. Calling hours were held Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield, where services were held with the Rev. James Bellamy officiating. Burial was made at Mainesburg Cemetery. |
