Notes	SWARTWOOD - Walter E. Swartwood, [SRGP 38074] aged 34 years, of Mansfield, died Sunday at 1:30 p.m. after a two years’ illness. He was born at Landrus in 1903, son of William E. and Harriet Queal Swartwood. He removed to Mansfield in 1903. He was a graduate of the Mansfield Senior High School, Mansfield Teachers College and Penn State College. For three years he had conducted a cut rate store in Mansfield. On June 15, 1935, he married Miss Eleanor Reese, of Kingston. He was a member of the Mansfield Presbyterian church and Friendship Lodge, F&AM. Mr. Swartwood is survived by his widow, his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Clemons of Blossburg and Mrs. Lena Hildreth of Binghamton. The funeral was held yesterday at the Mansfield Presbyterian church, Revs. John E. Bouquet and David J. Griffiths officiating; burial in Prospect cemetery at Mansfield. - Wellsboro Agitator, 22 September 1937
