Sweely - ALLEN Listed on 04/13/04 Jeanette L. Age 86, of Davis Road, Wellsboro, PA, died April 7, 2004 at the home of her daughter in Glendale, AZ. Jeanette was the wife of the late Arvine D. Allen. She was born April 11, 1917 in Roseville, PA, the daughter of the late Fred and Cora Leiseuring Sweely. She graduated from Mansfield High School and was a Nutritional Aid for Penn State Cooperative Extension. Jeanette was a member of the Middle Ridge United Methodist Church, a volunteer at the Tioga County Fair for over 30 years, and loved gardening, canning, square dancing and traveling. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Blaine and Patti Allen, Mansfield, PA, Dale and Sandra Allen, Wellsboro, PA, and Lance and Sherry Allen, Wellsboro, PA; daughters and sons-in-law, Kaye and Kurt Dodge, Glendale, AZ, and Sallie and Lewis Sticklin, Wellsboro, PA; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Leigh and Pat Sweely, Tioga, PA; sister, MarcielHolton, Horseheads, NY; brother-in-law, Arnold Allen, Wellsboro, PA; sister-in-law, Emma Sweely, Mansfield, PA; several nieces and nephews. Shewas preceded in death by her brother, Keith Sweely. Friends and relatives are invited to Jeanette's Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 14, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 15, 2004, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a "Life Celebration Home," 139 Main St., Wellsboro, PA. Funeral Thursday, April 15, 2004, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kermit Shrawder officiating. Burial in Tioga County Memorial Gardens. |
