Taylor, same address [father] ; Employer - College student; Signed – 1946 Mansfield Advertiser, PA, 20 August 1952, Wednesday, p.1 Parish-Taylor Marriage On Saturday, August 16, 1952 at 10 o’clock in St. Mark’s Church in Emporium the wedding of Miss Elner Jean Parish, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James M. Parish, Plank Road Hollow, Emporium and John C. Taylor, Waterloo, NY, son of Mr. & Mrs. Ralph S. Taylor of Mansfield, was solemnized. The double ring ceremony was performed before an altar decorates with white gladioli and was performed by Father Charles Liebel. Paul Tompkins, organist, of Emporium play a program of organ music preceding the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white nylon and lace dress over satin fashioned with a train. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white roses. Matron of honor was Mrs. Robert Zuback of Emporium, sister of the bride, who was attired in blue nylon over satin and carried yellow carnations. Flower girl, Joyce Ellen Davis, of Erie, PA, wore yellow organdy and carried blue carnations. Best man was Robert Zuback of Emporium, brother-in-law of the bride and ushers were Leo Joe Blumle and Charles A. Blumle. Following the wedding, a breakfast was served at the American Legion home in Emporium, for 22 guests, and a reception for 200 guests at 2 o’clock at the home of the bride. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Parish chose a gown of pink sheer with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. Mrs. Taylor, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black silk crepe gown with violet accessories and a corsage of white carnations. When the couple left on the wedding trip, Mrs. Taylor wore a pink nylon dress with coral accessories and a white rose corsage. Mrs. Taylor is a graduate of Emporium High School, class of 1949 and is employed by the Sylvania Electric Products, Inc. as a secretary. Mr. Taylor graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1946 and in on the merchandising staff of the Sylvania Electric Co., at Seneca Falls, NY. After September 1 the couple will be at home at 19 Wright Ave., Waterloo, NY. |
