THOMPSON - C. Morris Thompson [SRGP 70432], widely known Mansfield dairyman and businessman, died Saturday night, April 22, 1961. He was 66. Mr. Thompson, owner of the Morris Farms Dairy, was a descendant of a pioneer Tioga County family. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Mansfield. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of Friendship Lodge, F&AM, in Mansfield. Surviving are his wife, Louise [Lyon]; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Swan McElroy, Waco, Texas; Mrs. Louise T. Walker, Mansfield; two sons, Casper Morris Jr., with the Air Force in Germany; Joseph, also of Mansfield; and 16 grandchildren. - Wellsboro Agitator, April 27, 1961 |
