WEBSTER - Margaret E. Smith, 82, of Box 4, Meadow Street, Mansfield died Thursday, August 10, 1989, at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. Born August 23, 1906, in Sullivan Township, she was the daughter of Clinton and Margaret Magee Webster. She was a member of State Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith had been a cook at the Mainesburg Elementary School until its closing in 1966 and then at the Warren L. Miller Elementary School in Mansfield until she retired. Preceding her in death were her husband of 57 years, Aaron R. Smith, October of 1984; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Surviving are seven sons, Ellsworth A., Roger D., Chester A., all of Mansfield, Wendell E. of Corning, NY, Wilbur C. of Wellsboro, Kenneth D. of Mainesburg and Theodore A. of St. Leonard, Maryland; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret (Betty) Rice of Walbasso, Florida, Geraldine Worden of Vero Beach, Florida, Marion R. Talbot of Sebastian, Florida and Mrs. Juanita E. Junod of Williamsport; a brothers, Donald Webster of Mansfield; 28 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren. Services were held Monday, August 14, at Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield. The Rev. Eugene A. Charsky officiated. Burial will be in Mainesburg Cemetery, Mainesburg.
