MYRON E. WEBSTER, Ph.D. (SRGP 13375) Age 95, of Mansfield, Pa., Thursday, November 26, 1987, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, Pa. Friends are invited to call at the Wilston Funeral Home, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield, Sunday 1 to 3 pm. Funeral will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours, 3 pm, the Rev. James Dawes officiating. Burial Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make Memorial contributions to the Mansfield Firemen's Ambulance Assoc., or the American Heart Assoc. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dewey and Winifred Webster of Campbell, NY and Ocala, FL; Daughter-in-law Kathleen Webster of Newark Valley, NY; brother Carl Webster of Elmira; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Mr. Webster was predeceased by his wife, Jennie, in 1975, and a son Marshall in 1977. He was born August 6, 1892 in Rutland Township, the son of Fred and Bertha Crippen Webster. He was a member of Mansfield First United Methodist Church, Penna. State Retired Teachers Assoc., and Friendship Lodge #247 F & AM. Dr. Webster was a Political Science professor at the former Mansfield State College, he was active in many local church and civic activities, and was very well known for his musical abilities and illustrated lectures with original wildlife photography. Served WWI 19 Sept 1917 - 19 Dec 1918 Sgt 19 Oct 1917 2nd Lt 1 June 1918 |
