Webster, 56, of 6 Laurel St., Montrose, died Saturday, December 12, 1953. Mr. Webster graduated from Mansfield State Normal School in 1923, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mansfield State Teachers College in 1930. He taught in the public schools of Susquehanna County for several years and for the past seven years has been Susquehanna County superintendent of schools. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Beulah Daggett Webster; daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Taylor, of Dundee, NY; sons, Douglas Webster, with the U.S. Army in Korea, and Donald, of Binghamton, NY; brothers, Myron Webster, of Mansfield, and Carl Webster, of Elmira; one grandson. Funeral was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Montrose Methodist Church, the Rev. Frederic Connell officiating. Burial in the Montrose Cemetery. - Mansfield Advertiser, 16 December 1953, p.2 |
