Age 75, of 121 N. Main St., Mansfield, Pa., Wednesday, December 24, 1986 at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Wellsboro, Pa. At his request there will be no visitation hours. Funeral services will be held, Friday, at 11 am., at the First United Methodist Church, Mansfield, Pa. The Rev. James T. Dawes officiating. Burial Prospect Cemetery, Mansfield, Pa. Funeral arrangements by the Scureman Funeral Home, Mansfield, Pa. The family will furnish the flowers, those wishing may make donations to the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield, pa. Survived by his wife, Irene; daughters, Mrs. Lenda (David) Case of Mansfield, Pa. and Mrs. Lucinda (Steve) Zientek of Mechanicsburg, Pa. sons, John Wells of Forksville, Pa., Terry Mudge, and David Mudge both of Mansfield, Pa. James Mudge of East Amherst, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; brother Frances Wells of Wellsboro, Pa. He was a partner in the Wells & Goodall garage, Mansfield, Pa. for over 50 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist church, Mansfield, Pa. and the Prospect Cemetery Association. A charter member and past president of the Mansfield Kiwanis Club, and had been a charter member of the Mansfield Lions Club. He was a former member of both the local and state School Boards. He was born, May 30, 1911, in Richmond Township, Tioga County PA. to Samuel and Lena McConnell Wells.
