Strong, 86, of Mansfield died Friday, Jan. 28, 1994, at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. Born April 27, 1907, in Canoe Camp, she was the daughter of Nelson and Emma Whittaker. She was a member of the Canoe Camp Church of Christ. Preceding her in death was her husband, John, in 1986. Surviving are one daughter, Carol Schoonover of Mansfield; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Friends called at the Wilston Funeral Home, Mansfield, on Tuesday, Feb. 1. Services were held there Tuesday, Feb. 1, with the Rev. Deborah Casey officiating. Burial was made at Gray Cemetery, Covington. - Wellsboro Gazette, 2 February 1994, p.10
