Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield MHS1926 WILSON - Harold W. Wilson, 80, of New Town Hill, Mansfield, died Saturday, May 14, 1988, after he was stricken at his home. Born June 1, 1907, at Richmond Township, he was the son of Ervin W. and Dora E. McConnell Wilson. An area farmer for many years, he owned and operated E.W. Wilson and Sons Farming and Hay business and drove a school bus in Lindley, NY until he retired. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield. His wife of 49 years, the former Phyllis Carpenter, died April 30, 1986. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Philip H. and Annabel Wilson of Wayne; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Harry Youmans, a brother, James W. and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Case, all of Mansfield; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Services were held today, May 18, at the First Baptist Church of Mansfield at 11 a.m. The Rev. Benjamin E. Nevin and the Rev. Teddy Rood officiated. Burial was made in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield. - Wellsboro Gazette, May 18, 1988 |
