YORK - Minnie Estella [SRGP 5985] - Mrs. Minnie E. Smith, 75, of Wellsboro RD2 died Thursday in Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1894 in Sullivan Township, the daughter of Bird and Estella Page York. She was the widow of William Smith. She was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Velma DeMark of Elmira, NY, Mrs. Robert Tillotson of Wellsboro RD2 and Mrs. Paul Bonyak of Elmira Heights, NY; five sisters, Mrs. Julia Theoharus of Wellsboro, Mrs. Alice Perkins of Binghamton, NY, Mrs. Nellie Shaw of Geneva, Mrs. Daisy Lanterman of Elmira and Mrs. Ruby Lanterman of Chemung; four brothers, Warren York of Kissimmee, Fla., Glen of Furlong, PA, Gulusha and Ralph of Troy; 14 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Tussey Funeral Home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Daryl Sherman presiding minister officiating.
